Finally the Android Oreo 8.0 is here for the Samsung devices. As promised by the developers at Samsung. The latest version of Android will be made available to latest Samsung devices by the end of this year. We already have the glimpse of Android 8.0 Oreo Beta Build G950USQU1ZQJB is here for the Galaxy S8 and G955USQU1ZQJJ for the Galaxy S8+.
The update also includes the latest Samsung Experience 9.0, which is the updated version of the SE found currently on most Samsung Galaxy Flagship devices.
What’s New in Android 8.0 Oreo update for Samsung Galaxy S8 & S8 Plus:
The latest features that have been added in this update includes;
- New icon design for the stock apps.
- Whole new Emojis design and refurbished ones.
- Samsung Experience 9.0 added.
- New App icon Badge.
- New Always On Display animations and text Styles.

How to get Android 8.0 beta OTA Update for Galaxy S8 and S8+:
All you have to do is enroll for the Samsung Beta Program and You will get the update as soon it is released for your area. Currently the Update is available for the North American customers, It will be followed by UK and other parts of Europe. Later it will be made available for Asian markets as well.
How to Register for Samsung Beta Program:
1- First of all make sure that your device is connected to Internet.
2- Now Download the Samsung’s Member app on your device. Link
3- For North American users with Sprint, T-Mobile or other variants of S8 should install Samsung + app.
4- Once done, Simply open the app and sign-in with your Samsung Account. Or register for one, if you don’t have one.
5- Now sign up for the Samsung Beta Program.
6- Once done, You will be notified with a message if there is any update for your device.
How to Flash Android 8.0 Oreo Beta on Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus: [ Firmware Not Available Yet]
You would need following tools and Firmware file to be downloaded and ready before the flashing/ installing process starts. [ The FIrmware file will be made available soon]

Note: This firmware update will only apply on the Above given variant of the Samsung smartphone. So if you have another variant of the above mentioned device with some other model number, DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT FLASHING. And the update is still not made public so please wait for some time.
Follow these steps carefully and at your Own risk.
1- Take a backup of any data that you might need in case you later need to do a factory reset. This includes any data you might have on your internal SD card.
2- Download the ROM’s package and extract the contents of the downloaded zip file to your computer.
3- Download and install Samsung USB drivers, if they aren’t already installed.
4- Power your phone off and boot it into download mode by holding Home and Volume-down buttons while powering it back on.
5- Launch Odin on your computer and connect your phone to it via USB. You should get a blue indicator sign on Odin.
6- Click ‘PDA’ in Odin and select the *.tar.md5 extension file.
7- Leave everything as it is, and especially make sure that Repartition is unchecked.
8- Click ‘Start’ to begin flashing, and wait for the process to finish.
9- Once done Your device will reboot automatically.
